Refund Policy

At Studied Syntax, every order is packed by hand and many of our products are one-of-a-kind or created specifically for you. Because of that, our refund policy is a little different than a large retailer.

Returns

Unused, unopened physical products may be returned within 14 days of delivery. To be eligible for a return, items must be in their original condition and packaging.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or we made an error with your order.

One-of-a-Kind Items

Vintage postcards, found ephemera, and other one-of-a-kind items are final sale. Because each piece is unique, we cannot offer exchanges for these products.

Mailed Postcards

Once a postcard has been written, stamped, or mailed on your behalf, the order is considered complete and cannot be refunded. This includes prompt postcards, haiku postcards, subscriptions, and any custom mailed correspondence.

Subscription Orders

Subscription plans may be canceled at any time before the next billing cycle. Charges that have already been processed are non-refundable.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the item. We'll make it right by offering a replacement, store credit, or refund when appropriate.

Lost Mail

Once an order has been handed to the postal service, delivery is outside of our control. If your package appears lost in transit, please reach out and we'll do our best to help locate it or determine the next steps.
